August’s Inspiring Shower Curtains

Over the past two months, we’ve scoured magazines and webpages to find the finest of the fine, the coolest of the cool, the most practical of the… well… practical shower curtains to compliment our portfolio of bathroom products. As we shift from summer to fall, we will be rotating in another product specific spot on our blog. Have ideas of what we should feature? Let us know! Write us a comment below or share your ideas on our Facebook wall.

Custom photo shower curtain (about $200) from photoshowercurtain.com

Wondering what to do with all those summer vacation photos? Turn your favorites into custom shower curtains, of course! Upload your image to photoshowercurtain.com, and in about two weeks you’ll receive a soft, machine-washable polyester version of your artwork sized for either a standard tub or a shower stall.

Not all photos can make the leap to the big screen (which is probably a good thing). Check out the site’s FAQ page for recommendations and details, including minimum image size and resolution. For extra fees, the company will accept your pics by mail or email and add up to ten characters of text to the curtain.

Butterflies shower curtain ($40) from Upper Playground

Transform your caterpillar of a bath into a graceful butterfly of a room with the Butterflies shower curtain by San Francisco artist Dora Drimalas. We also love her eye-catching graphic designs on pillows, wall art, tees and totes.

Eggegrund shower curtain ($3.99) from IKEA

Jump-start your colorful bath makeover with a frugal find: a shower curtain for just $3.99. If the vibrant turquoise Eggegrund seems a bit thin (it’s made of super lightweight PEVA, a chlorine-free vinyl), try one of the other new IKEA options—all under $15.
